Our sales team and representative group partners take great pride in all our projects but really enjoy the opportunity to help illuminate young minds. That’s why recent Touché projects for Indiana University, Augsburg College, and Banning Lewis Prep Academy really had us beaming.

A 45,000-square-foot, three-story addition to the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis will soon provide 125 state-of-the-art patient treatment rooms for the 136-year-old school. In addition, the expanded facility will include contemporary patient registration and waiting areas, wet labs, and new administrative and faculty offices.

Also at Indiana University, Touché will be a key part of renovating two nearly 100-year-old buildings from academic space into modern student housing. The updated space will include 182 residential beds plus a 200-seat dining hall — transforming Goodbody Hall and Memorial Hall to serve the high-demand needs of student residences.

Augsburg College in Minneapolis chose Touché for its newest and largest academic building — the Norman and Evangeline Hagfors Center for Science, Business, and Religion. The 135,000-square-foot building features configurable classrooms and labs constructed on a modular framework that allows for room flexibility. Touché will be controlling the areas of this facility that require complex control strategies including diurnal scheduling, touchscreen interfacing, motorized blind integration, and multi-zone daylight harvesting. Making these complex control strategies simple is what makes Touché’s configurable lighting solution the perfect fit.

Not to be outdone by their higher-education counterparts, Banning Lewis Prep Academy in Colorado Springs chose Touché for their 80,000-square-foot, two-story charter school for sixth through 12th grade students. Touché Controls will provide maximum flexibility for state-of-the-art features throughout the school — including many open spaces such as a center gymnasium that opens to the commons area and an open-concept media center with soft seating for blended learning (classes and online courses).
